A Little About Me...
I am a 23-year-old from Troutman, North Carolina. I picked up a pencil at 5 years old and have had a passion for creating ever since. I blossomed with creativity during my time at Averett University. Through my degree, I learned the necessities of artistry. I explored advanced drawing, painting, and printmaking while simultaneously building foundational skills in sculpture and ceramics. I graduated in 2022 with my BA in Fine Arts and a Minor in Communications.
In May of 2024, I completed my MA in Illustration from Falmouth University in the UK. Through this course of study, I further pushed my knowledge and developed more skills to enhance my value as a designer and illustrator.
My career path started during college when I began exploring graphic design as a personal endeavor. I began doing small commissioned work for friends and family and explored Adobe Software. My job experience started with the Walt Disney World Company, working custodial in Magic Kingdom as a part of the Disney College Program. Orlando, Florida, was my home for 10 lovely months while I made magic for hundreds of guests daily. During the Summer of 2023, I moved my career from Florida to the Big Apple of NYC to intern at American Eagle and Aerie as an apparel graphic designer. As my first professional design experience, I got to dive into real-world applications of creativity. Following this experience, I worked for a short period as an apparel graphic designer for Nike's Licensed Leagues with Fanatics, creating apparel artwork for the NFL. Currently, I hold the position as a graphic design intern for The Walt Disney Company. My day-to-day consists of maintaining the highest standard of storytelling through brand collateral for digital, print, and merchandise design.
